At the Vietnam Masters Petrolimex Cup 2025, Quang Duong entered every division available and concluded a remarkable campaign with two out of three gold medals. His performance made him the standout athlete of the tournament and reaffirmed his status as one of the strongest pickleball players ever to compete in Vietnam.

In the mixed doubles final, partnering with Amanda Hendry, Quang Duong fought an extraordinary five-game battle against Jack Munro and Megan Fudge. Despite his outstanding form and relentless effort, the opposing pair proved too complete and too explosive at crucial moments. Quang Duong finished with a silver medal, narrowly missing the first leg of a potential Triple Crown.

The men’s singles final brought one of the most anticipated matchups of the season as Quang Duong faced Phuc Huynh. Duong had previously described Huynh as one of the toughest opponents in Asia and the match fully reflected that statement. Both players delivered a tight and intense contest but when it mattered most Duong’s world-class experience shined through. He secured the gold medal with a display of precision and dominance in decisive points.

It is important to emphasize that Phuc Huynh remains the number one men’s singles player in Vietnam and among the top in Asia but on this day Quang Duong operated at a different level. The final is considered by many analysts as one of the best men’s singles matches of 2025.

In the final match of the day, the men’s doubles final, Quang Duong and Jack Munro faced Vietnam’s top duo Do Minh Quan and Truong Vinh Hien. Although the first two games leaned toward Duong and Munro, the margin was never large. Minh Quan and Vinh Hien rallied strongly in game three but Duong once again showed elite composure guiding Munro through the most stressful moments of the match. The victory sealed Duong’s second gold medal.

With two gold medals and one silver, Quang Duong finished the tournament just inches away from claiming Vietnam’s first-ever Triple Crown. Even without the complete sweep, his power, speed and competitive spirit left a lasting impression on Vietnamese fans. Upcoming tournaments may well be the stage where he finally completes the Triple Crown that narrowly slipped away this time.
